Hailing from Detroit’s electrifying rock city and forged in the fires of adversity, Mac Saturn stands as a testament to resilience and the unbreakable bonds of musical brotherhood. After an 18-month hiatus due to a challenging chapter that shook their world, the original five-piece rock group has emerged stronger and is ready to storm the stage this fall with a brand-new slate of tour dates, kicking off in Nashville, going up the Northeast, and finishing up in the Midwest with a hometown show at Saint Andrews. Infusing their music with rock, soulful swagger, Motown-infused funk grooves, and kinetic live energy that turns every show into a dance floor, Mac Saturn is ready to come back with their undeniable musical chemistry.
Frontman Carson Macc’s smooth, Mick Jagger-meets-Harry Styles vocals paired with Nick Barone’s searing guitar riffs, backed by Angelo Coppola (drums), Mike Moody (guitar), and Ian Lukas (bass), creates an infectious sound rooted in Motor City tradition but brimming with fresh vitality.
Mac Saturn distinguished themselves in the recent wave of rock n' roll revivalists by brushing the dust off old school nostalgia to reveal something entirely new. They established their unique sound with the release of their 2022 EP Until the Money Runs Out, featuring early fan-favorite hits "Diamonds" and "Mr. Cadillac," which racked up millions of streams and caught the attention of industry heavyweights.
Their 2024 album release Hard To Sell, produced at Detroit's legendary Rust Belt Studios, was overshadowed by the arrest and removal of a former keyboard player—a devastating event for the victims that forced the band into a painful period of reckoning.
Choosing education and dedication to helping others as their path forward, the band spent 18 months reflecting, rebuilding, and strengthening their creative bond. Now returning as the
original five-piece, Mac Saturn is ready to rejoin the world and reclaim their spotlight with new music that channels their growth and resilience.
In this next chapter, the band is using their platform to support Darkness to Light, a nonprofit dedicated to equipping adults and communities to protect children from abuse through education, awareness, and prevention training.
Rather than letting one person's actions define them, Mac Saturn has transformed a difficult moment into a force for good—fueling their music with purpose and using their voice to spark positive change. By merging their music with advocacy, Mac Saturn proves that the transformative power of rock and roll extends beyond the stage, turning even the hardest trials into triumphs that inspire and protect others.
Marking the beginning of a vibrant new chapter, the band released the newest single “Takes Time”, which sets the tone for Mac Saturn’s long-awaited fall tour. The riff-heavy, groove-driven anthem channels the glamour of ‘70s funk rhythms with a twist of ‘80s-tinged guitar riffs creating a sound that’s both nostalgic and boldly fresh — a reminder that growth can’t be rushed and that the best things in life, love, and art take time to flourish.
Tickets are now ON SALE through the band’s official site and ticketing platforms, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Darkness To Light.
